Overall Impressions

From the moment we arrived into Kilimajaro Airport, the service was fantastic. Every place we stopped, from Lakae Manyara Lemala tented camp to the Exploreans lodge at Ngorongoro, all the way to Fundu Lagoon on Pemba Island, was superb. Every creature we could have wanted to see we did, except for a leopard, which only gives us a great reason to head back! But the highlight of the whole trip[ has to be the secret that is Pemba Island. Fundu Lagoon is a splendid retreat, with truly friendly and phenomenal service, stunning views, and just the right amount of seclusion for a honeymoon. We absolutely enjoyed the troop of velvet monkeys that would stop by and play at our thatch roofed luxury cottage in the morning, and we look forward to returning for an anniversary in the future.

Tanzania 5

The people of Tanzania were amazing, the country itself stunning.

Accommodation Visited

Lake Duluti Lodge 5

Beautiful and comfortable. We were only here for a single night, but have nothing but fond memories of our first night in the country.

Lemala Manyara 5

The staff here were wonderful, and the location in the bush was perfect.

Exploreans Ngorongoro Lodge 5

So close to the Park, and a truly 5 star experience. The spa was fabulous.

Fundu Lagoon 5

This place is a dream come true for a honeymoon. I can't think of anything at all that I would change. Amazing food, wonderful staff, and a perfect remote location. With only a handful of hotels on the island, this is a secret gem and we applaud Jamie and Mahlatini for finding it. The capstone on an amazing honeymoon adventure.

Jamie Pallin was a savior when we needed one. As the bad weather hit us in the Serengeti (it was the rainy season afterall, in order to see the Great Migration), Jamie worked miracles in getting us on new flights and extending our stay at Pemba. I offer my unreserved recommmendation for this company and for Jamie.
