Everything was well documented and clearly set out for our trip. Our accommodation was first class and almost everywhere we stayed was friendly and welcoming
Visited the Chobe park and its wonderful wildlife, a truly glorious place. Great trip on the Chobe river with plenty to see.
Great country with vast open areas of bushland, very good standard of dirt roads, plenty of wildlife to see and friendly people. Roadside stopping areas absolutely filthy, a disgrace, looked like the local rubbish tip and this was everywhere. Namibia you need to clean up your country ! Its beautiful, look after it. I just hope its not the tourists that are doing this.
Only visited Victoria Falls and they are stunning but the town is spoiled by the street sellers who constantly pester the tourists and are putting them off from coming back. Most people are OK with bartering at a market stall if they are interested in something but this is a full on attack by a few who spoil it for the rest. The local tourist Police generally do nothing either, so don't really know what use they are doing there at all !
Although only here for one night it was a pleasant stay and very welcoming. Unfortunately the road it lies on is cut off by roadworks which made it difficult to find.
Accommodation here was more basic but adequate. The room had no chairs in which to sit of an evening. We were charged a refundable deposit for which we were given a receipt. (keep hold of it !) On departure we presented our receipt but they were very reluctant to give us the refund. Hold your ground and you will eventually get it back. Again we were only here one night but were made to feel that they wanted us out as soon as possible ready for the next clients. Not the most friendly reception we encountered
Great small camp with pleasant managers and quirky (agricultural) lodges. Restaurant was of a good standard with really nice bar area and a nearye floodlit waterhole which was nice to watch of an evening.
Ndhovu Safari Lodge 5
Really nice lodge with great managers and right on the Okavango, couldn't really fault it. Superb restaurant area and tented lodges which were very comfortable.
Mazambala Island Lodge 5
Great place to stay and very unique to leave the car and disappear by boat onto an island in the river for a couple of days, really felt like we were getting away from it all. Lodges were basic but comfortable and restaurant and viewing tower were a nice feature.
Wow, what a place, fantastic elevated lodge overlooking the Chobe river and the flood plains beyond. Great individual lodges furnished to a high standard and restaurant food also to a very high standard. Everything well organised and would recommend to anyone.
Comfortable hotel very near the falls ( could hear then from the bedroom) Service was good but we were charged for breakfast which we thought was inclusive. My only negative comments here and it is not to do with the hotel, was to do with the constant barrage of locals trying to sell (push) carvings, jewellery old bank notes, in fact almost anything and not taking NO! for an answer, has put me right off visiting Victoria Falls ever again. This was a feeling that a good few other guest at Ilala and other accommodation in the area expressed.
