Overall Impressions

Our honeymoon with Mahlatini was so enjoyable that there are too many highlights to list! We loved our safari at the Kichwa Tembo camp in the Masai Mara. Our guide James was excellent, and he seemed to find everything we wanted to see quickly. I think our major highlight would have to be watching two lions hunt and kill a warthog, which was so exciting. We also really enjoyed our resort in Zanzibar. It was a top-notch place.

Countries Visited

Kenya 5

People were very friendly and the Masai Mara is beautiful. It was quite surreal to be out in the bush. Nairobi is very congested during the day, and traffic moves slowly. Also, the Nairobi airport is in major need of an update.

Tanzania 5

Zanzibar was extremely beautiful. We very much enjoyed our beach, our trip to Stone Town, and our tour of a spice plantation. We found the locals to be friendly, although I don't think I would have been comfortable exploring the market without a guide.

Accommodation Visited

Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel 5

It was quite charming with a lot of history, and very conveniently located.

Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp 5

Kichwa Tembo was great. We enjoyed our luxury tent, and the staff was great. We enjoyed the meals and location. The setting was beautiful. The warthogs that roam the camp are quite amuzing.

The Residence Zanzibar 5

The Residence is probably the nicest resort I have ever visited. Our villa was beautiful, and we had a private infinity pool which was actually pretty large. The food was good and the setting was beautiful. The only drawback of this resort is the several mile access road which is extremely bumpy, but this is just a minor note.

Staff Review 5

Claire was very professional and responsive with all of our many questions and concerns. She was incredibly helpful, and her experience with all of the destinations we considered was very reassuring. We enjoyed working with Claire and will recommend her highly in the future.
