Our highlights were seeing two cheetahs asleep under a tree in the dessert, watching male lions near Kwajalein camp, and seeing a springbok giving birth and then having to protect her baby until it could stand
We loved Botswana - the countryside, the animals, the people we met and the time we spent in Kwando camps. We enjoyed the heady mixture of remoteness, fabulous wildlife, and being looked after exceptionally well.
We really enjoyed kwara. The accommodation was not as luxurious as other camps but the staff were very good and the camp had quite a buzz about it. In addition, Kwara had more varied activities - game drives, boat trip and canoe trip. We also found game viewing very easy and rewarding there.
Lagoon camp had marvellous rooms and food, and again the guides and trackers were very good. We had less luck spotting animals at Lagoon and as we were few guests there was not such a buzz
Tau Pan did not have such a variety of animals close by ... or activities. We saw many more species when we went on a day trip to Deception Valley but it was a hard day's driving. I liked this camp least - the staff seemed less happy too. However, I did find the dessert quite an amazing.

We received a very personal service and excellent advice and recommendations from Nikki about our proposed trip. Booking was a very smooth and easy process.
