Fabulous game drives with knowledgeable, entertaining and courteous rangers. Outstanding accommodation staying with the "And Beyond" group. All transfers worked well.
The highlight and a fabulous African country. People are clearly happy with their government, tourism is strong and the country is beautiful.
Have been to SA before and we decided that on this trip we want to see different parts. SA is not as relaxed as Botswana and security is most noticeable especially in urban areas. I would love to see SA become like Botswana.
Zambia is completely different. Once you cross the Zambezi from Botswana into Zambia there's a stark different between the two countries. Clearly life is not so good in Zambia for most people and there is a reasonable degree of people trying to sell things to you (desperately). The Vic Falls were lovely to see and we especially enjoyed the hike down to the base of the falls. We ate in a local cafe on night in Livingston called Cafe Zambezi. It was great for a local, run by an Australia lady (would you believe), local produce and reasonable. The hotel next to ours, the Royal Livingstone was fabulous; regal and charming. We went there twice, once for sundowners and once for dinner. A lovely experience.
Outstanding accommodation. Luxurious, personalized service, great catering, lovely touches like dinner under the stars, scenic sundowners, Amurula in coffees, lovely baked muffins etc. We never had to wait for a drink or a meal. All great! Very friendly staff. Beautiful canoe/water outings. Rangers were knowledgeable and fun. The kids had a ball.
All the same comments as above. Immaculate accommodation, great game drives morning and late afternoon. Plus we saw the leopard - a highlight.
Tired accommodation, pokey rooms, average dining within the hotel. We all agreed we should have stayed at the Royal Livingstone (we spent plenty of time there enjoying drinks and meals there).
Also lovely accommodation although not as luxurious as the And Beyond group. The highlight was the water safaris, lots of hippos, crocs, elephants etc. A great way to view the animals up close.
Protea Hotel Waterfront Richards Bay 5
The best in Richard's Bay I would think. Ticked all the boxes, lovely rooms.
Lovely accommodation, great food, snorkeling fun and beautiful sundowners. Drinks not included at this lodge but choice of wines was good. Friendly service.

Nikki answered all of our questions promptly and arranged fabulous game lodges that blew us away. She made good suggestions and made sure that we had all necessary documentation (e.g. yellow fever certificates). A few things we would have changed: accommodation in Livingston and the transfer from Chobe to Thonga Beach. That transfer was more than 24 hours. Not sure of the different flight options but there is an airstrip near Thonga Beach and I think it would have saved a night spent at Richard's Bay.
