Seeing the African animals in their natural habitat was a dream come true. Our guides were knowledgeable about the animals and very accommodating in getting us to the spots to view awesome animals and scenery. I cannot say which animal experience was the best. It was all good. Our group became acquainted and endeared to the guides. The most life changing part of the trip was being there with Coins for Change and seeing first hand how our part in the education and provision for the Maasai people is carried out. I fell in love with the Maasai people.
Highlights: Maasai villages and experiences with the people. The safaris at Amboseli and Maasai Mara parks were awesome. Nairobi: Loved the Kazuri bead factory, Karen Blixen Museum, and the Giraffe Conservatory. Visited with Cynthia Moss, Amboseli Elephant Trust. Went to the Elephant Orphanage. Love the elephants!
Friendly and accommodating staff. The room was very comfortable. Decor was pleasing.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge 5
We could see Mt. Kilamanjaro from the property. What more can one ask. Room was comfortable. Mosquito netting was put down for us each night. Food was good. Pretty much the same each day. Restaurant staff very friendly and called us by name. Always ready to make sure our needs were met. They enjoyed talking and singing with us at the end of our day. Staff were always available to help find our room by escorting us on the property.
Siana Springs Tented Camp 5
Beautiful setting. Different types of trees on the property were identified. Beautifully kept grounds. Joseph was vigilant in seeing that we had what we needed at our tent. He also gave good advice in the benefits of strong black tea, no sugar to help with tummy trouble. The tents were awesome and private. Columbus monkeys in the trees outside the tent. Lovely animals. Restaurant buffet was good. Staff very helpful and courteous. Service to the room for a toilet problem was quick. Jackline brought tea to the room when we were staying in with tummy trouble.

I was part of the group Coins for Change. Kathleen McIntire handled communication with Mahlatini. As far as I am concerned, all was well managed and went smoothly.
