Everything was brilliant, I'm not sure I could pick a highlight! If i had to i'd say...
Waking up to monkeys on our balcony on safari
Watching the sun set from a dhow in Benguerra
Going up Table Mountain in Cape Town
Having lunch at La Petite Ferme in Franschhoek
Only saw a very small part of Mozambique but what struck me most was how friendly everyone was. Loved the fact the lodge was very community focused.
Really loved SA and would definitely go back.
The only thing that slightly marred our experience is that since we have retruned home we have found that nearly every single one of our debit and credit cards has been cloned and used in Cape Town. These cards were kept in a locked safe at all times - we only took out one credit card each when we left the hotel and neither of these cards have been used. It has all been sorted out with the banks etc but I understand this is quite prevalent in SA which is a shame.
The casita was amazing, my other half would have preferred to have air conditioning as it was so hot but apart from that we couldn't fault it. High level of customer service and all the extra activities were very well organised. Great food. Our butler was superb.
Beautiful little boutique hotel. Conrad the manager was very friendly and helpful. Lovely room, nice touches like finding creme brulees on our pillow when we returned at the end of the evening.
Great little hotel. Friendly staff, lovely breakfasts. Very well done with a lovely courtyard and swimming pool area.
Honeymoon suite was lovely, appreciated having our own pool. Great rangers, loved the game drives.
Claire organised the whole honeymoon very efficiently - it was all done over email, we never actually spoke - but she knew exactly what we are looking for. She had great knowledge of the hotels and the area and everything went to plan while we were away.
