All of the transfer arrangements went smoothly. No hitches at all. Luggage was booked right through to Livingstone. We had nothing to worry about.
Victoria Falls were beautiful and the Sunset Cruise very enjoyable for us as the guide was an expert on birds. We went to a few markets (at the falls and the tourist village) but were overwhelmed and a bit distressed at the sheer volume of stalls and their desperation to sell.
Absolutely beautiful and unspoilt in the places we visited.
Very ethnic and atmospheric. Jelina, our waitress was very attentive and we were entertained by young people from the nearby village who sang, danced and did acrobatics. A fantastic and unexpected evening.
Beautiful chalets. A fantastic setting with marvellous wildlife (especially birds) near the camp. The staff choir was terrific, They put on a show for a couple's Golden Wedding anniversary. Brilliant guides, great food. A lovely warm feeling in the camp.
The wildlife really comes to you at Kwara. We had impala, squirrels, warthogs, elephant and baboon wandering around the camp - not to mention the birds. As in Lagoon camp the guides, staff and food were all absolutely top class.
An amazing amount of wildlife in a very dry environment. Wonderful, helpful staff. An expert birder as a guide. How the cooks manage to produce such great meals way out in the desert is a miracle. I especially enjoyed the bushman walk led by our trecker, Kastrom.
Nikki had several detailed chats with us to find out our interests and concerns. She produced a tailor-made itinerary which suited us absolutely down to the ground. We were totally bowled over and loved every minute of our holiday. A fellow guest who had been on several trips remarked that he was addicted to Botswana. We felt the same. Now we are going to have to double the number of lottery tickets we buy!
