Countries Visited

South Africa 5

Not mater how may times I return, South Africa continues to always impress and amaze with its seemingly endless variations in people, landscapes and experiences!

Accommodation Visited

DAVINCI Hotel and Suites 4

Very nice. Conveniently located for our overnight stop. Very comfortable for what was needed after a long trip to South Africa.

Rovos Rail 5

Absolutely fantastic; magnificent; oustanding. There are no enough superaltives to describe this experience with Rovos Rail. Every detail was thought of and when all added together made for a truly memorable experience. For those that love trains and train travel, there is surely non better than Rovos Rail.

Cape Grace 5

Brilliant. The Cape Grace is a world apart. Elegant and refined without being pretentious. A haven of peace with a hint of sophistication in a world of hustle.

Babylonstoren Farm Hotel 5

Literally breathtaking; aweinspiring, jaw droppingly lovely. There are not enough descriptions to do Babylonstoren justice. It was simply and profoundly superb! My wife's elderly parents were looked after like royalty and thoroughly spoilt. So much so, they can't stop talking about Babylonstoren! I can't recommend Babylonstouren enough, it was simply that good!

La Plume Guest House 4

la Plume has a quiet and understated charm that soothes as soon as you arrive. The views over the farm, the Karoo desert and the distant mountains make for an amzing backdrop sitting on the verandah sipping tea, or something stronger if desired, while the sunsets behind the mountains. An oasis of peace and tranquility that offers balm to a weary traveller's heart and soul.

Kanonkop House 5

Lovely, refined, sophisticated, elegant, but relaxed. Set above the Kynsna Lagoon estuary with the Knysna Heads in the distant, Kanonkop offered difficult to rival views of beautiful landscapes. And with staff as helpful as their's, it was hard to leave such a beautful place. Very highly recommended as a base in this fantastic part of the Garden Route.

Storms River Mouth Rest Camp 3

The location was perfect and even more so for being at the base of a cliff with crashing waves, ancient forest and river mouth but a stone's throw from the front door and balcony. The clear night heralded stars like my wife's parents had never seen! So much so, they were stunned in breathless silence at their pure majesty. A beautfil place to stay and walk the trails in the forest or on the coast line or around the river mouth.

Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge 5

Kwandwe was simply sublime. Luxurious, sumptuous, outstanding. The rooms are in fact private chalets with their own plunge pools, sundecks and outside showers. The lodge is relaxed class and sophistication where we felt like royalty and were treated the same from the moment we arrived to the moment we left as the gameviewing was absolutely fantastic!

Staff Review 5

Greg was fantastic. He far exceeded any expectations we might have had for him. He was a true professional in every sense of the word and clearly a master at what he does. He listened carefully and created and crafted the proverbial trip of a lifetime for my wife's parents. Without a doubt, he is an expert in the many areas of expertise needed to bring about a flawlessly organised and superbly executed trip that flowed with seemingless effort. All of which is testimony to his abilities, skills and knowledge. A very big thank you to Greg for the very significant role he played in bringing about this incredibly memorable trip. Without his help, expertise and expert insight, none of this would have happened in the very happy way it did. You could be in no safer hands than Greg's! A very grateful and profounds thanks!
