Overall Impressions

Countries Visited

Loved going back after c.25 years. Hotels/lodges had very high standards, driving fine and game viewing/desert visit exceptional.

South Africa

Loved Cape Town, especially seeing friends and following our son's rugby tour, but much harder to relax than in Namibia due to social tensions.

Accommodation Visited

The Olive Exclusive All-Suite Hotel

Very comfortable and extremely stylish. Wonderful food.

Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp

Comfortable, stylish and wonderful guide - saw 2 adult leopards and a cub plus an adult cheetah with her cub, all in an afternoon and a morning!

Mokuti Lodge

Rooms comfortable if a little plain, communal areas and food fine - in keeping with it being a larger lodge than others. Check-in was very slow which prevented going into Etosha on the afternoon we arrived.

Ongava Tented Camp

Simply wonderful. Great viewings at the camp waterhole and on drives.

Meike?s Guesthouse

Absolutely fine for a stopover night which is what we were doing. Meike very helpful in finding us a table booking.

Agama River Camp

Comfortable though plain cottages but very pleasant communal area (newly enclosed under thatch), great food and wonderful views.

River Crossing Lodge

Comfortable rooms, wonderful views. Communal areas a little plain. Food good rather than excellent.

Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport

Superb in all respects. Extraordinary that an airport hotel could be this high quality. Garden a delight.

Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront

Excellent, very comfortable. Watched dolphins in Table Mountain bay during breakfast! Added a lot to be directly on the water rather than a block or two inland.

Staff Review

Extremely helpful and a pleasure to interact with.
