tbis holiday did just what it said on the tin. Very good. April though is not the time to go to Zanzibar. Too hot and sticky.
Zanzibar has the same feel as Mauritius but less the wall to wall beach hotels and tourists. P
Eka Hotel 3
Did the job but we were only there for 5 hours. Lots of time spent going through the security on arrival and exit. Very friendly welcome
Immaculate and well maintained hotel. The villas are really well designed with privacy for parents and children. The parents bathroom was awesome. The air con wasn't quite powerful enough to keep the whole villa cool and rattled a bit. Housekeeping was faultless and the room was kept spic and span from morning till night. A lot of effort went into keeping the gardens and the beach beautiful and well maintained. The spa is impressive. In a league of its own. Korn the Thai masseuse was beyond incredible. The rates were very good value so we indulged in massages most days. The food was exceptional and the three meals a day were a real pleasure for our family. So much fish and Indian influence in the cuisine. The breakfast was spot on and not overwhelming. Lunch by the beach was a highlight of the hi day. The sultan dining room for dinner is exquisite and the only cool place in the resort. All the staff were exceptional. Friendly but very discreet. We did a different activity each day. Snorkelling, a reef walk with a local fisherman, a 10m ocean five with the kids and a morning making hats out of palm leaves. Although this is a hotel with lots of rooms we didn't feel encroached on. Shame there are no ocean view villas for families.
