From the first visit to the office in Belfast we knew we had made the right choice in selecting Mahlatini. The professionalism and attention to detail was something I very rarely see in service organisations today. The choice of places to visit was fantastic and really provided the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
I dont think I've ever enjoyed a holiday as much as our safari in the Masia Mara. From the short flight over the Mara plains to the fantastic and diverse game drives, it really did have it all. The quantity of animals we saw on safari blew me away, and the experience with our superb driver, Charity, made it even better. Her knowledge of the area and wildlife, combined with willingness to take us wherever we wanted, made for an interesting and perfect mix. Kenya really is a must see, as is the Masai Mara.
Tanzania's western shore is really as idyllic a place as any beach lover could ever wish for. The beautiful reef waters and white sandy beaches make for a truly amazing setting for those who like to sea, sand and sunshine. The diving and snorkelling sites are very interesting with many locations to suit all abilities. It really is an island paradise!
The tented camp at Kichwa Tembo is the most amazing setting from which to base a safari. The modest building structures are very traditional yet maintain such high standards in maintenance and cleanliness that one could not epxress any complaints about them. The luxury tent in which we stayed was as far from a traditional tent as anyone could imagine, with hot running water, shower cubicals and electrictiy freely available. The staff at Kichwa Tembo are by far the most friendly I have ever encountered. They did all the simple things so well, that nothing was ever a problem. From the morning wakeup calls to the personal service waiter, we really couldn't have asked for more.
Breezes was an absolute paradise location with a resort to match. The beautifully made main buildings were so luxurious even though they were so simply constructed. The selection of bars and restaurants were perfect for our requirements and the variety of food on offer was amazing while quality remained superb throughout. The rooms were fantastically well maintained and more than suited our needs while the facilities in the resort were excellent and very professionally managed. I would recommend the Sultan's Bath to anyone!
We spent a single night here as a rest stop between countries. The hotel itself was beautiful and our suite was a fantastic place to rest and relax before the next adventure. The food at the hotel was not as good as at other places we stayed but this probably speaks more for the quality at those other places than the lack of here.
Staff Review 5
The knowledge, attention to detail and friendliness of all Mahlatini staff is something that sets them apart from any other travel agent we spoke to. Their personal experiences in many of the African destinations and willingness to share honest opinions is refreshing and very reassuring. Their reaction to resolving a flight issue we had was way beyond any level of service I'd expect to receive in a similar situation.
