In Akagera's open plains, woodlands, lakes, swamp and grassy low mountains you will find an abundance of plains game including the rare sitatunga. Guests at Magashi have the opportunity to view black rhino who were reintroduced in 2017 and are thriving in their new protected environment. The park also harbours a good density of leopard.
The camp offers six spacious, airy tents with uninterrupted views over Lake Rwanyakazinga. The main area includes a luxurious lounge, dining and bar area, pool and expansive viewing deck with a cosy fire pit. The architecture and interiors take inspiration from traditional Rwandan culture.
