Discover Singita Kataza House

Singita Kataza House is a supremely luxurious exclusive-use villa situated on the edge of Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park surrounded by the imposing Virunga mountains, within easy reach of the park's transformative gorilla trekking experiences. The landscape around the house is wetlands and lush meadows, offering magnificent views of the Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura volcanoes.

This luxuriously modern African home offers four spacious suites (and a 2-bedroom staff residence) and was thoughtfully designed to connect the villa to its surroundings and its culture. The interiors show layered texture and colour and introduce detail through artisanal and handmade pieces like woven panels and clay feature pots. The villa also offers a fully equipped fitness centre, a cinema, wine cellar, massage room, interactive kitchen and in and outdoor fireplaces, as well as two heated plunge pools. Your every need will be taken care of by your dedicated house manager, chef and house staff. In addition to Kataza House, all of the facilities and amenities at the adjacent Singita Kwitonda Lodge will also be at your disposal during your stay.

In addition to gorilla trekking, you will be able to enjoy a wide range of other activities during your stay at Singita Kataza House - such as Golden Monkey trekking and visits to Dian Fossey's gravesite, as well as activities around the lodge including a stroll through the Akarabo Nursery and learning more about gorillas in the Conservation Room. There is also the chance to visit a Rwandan village to gain glimpses of the local lifestyle and culture. All activities at the villa will be tailored to specifically suit the interests of your group. The minimum age requirement for gorilla trekking is 15, but Kataza House offers childminding services, as well as an array of activities to keep little ones engaged and entertained.
