On the southwest coast of Mahe, the main island of the Seychelles archipelago, Four Seasons Seychelles is a luxury resort with superb accommodation and outstanding facilities. The resort's 67 villas and suites are quietly secluded on a hillside, flanked by dense jungle and overlooking the stunning horseshoe bay of Petite Anse. The white sand beach nestled in this cove is lined by giant granite boulders and provides much fun in the sun for guests. The resort also makes a great twin island combo with its sister property in Seychelles, Four Seasons at Desroches Island.
Covering 170 acres of land, the resort presents tree-house island living, with excellent service and cool, elegant interiors inspired by the local Creole style. Each villa possesses its own infinity pool and open air reading pavilion; guests can also look forward to a deep soaking tub as well as inside and outside showers. Each has entertainment system, WiFi and either garden, ocean or hilltop ocean views. The resort is the perfect choice for a romantic, luxury Seychelles honeymoon or a special anniversary holiday.
Four Seasons Seychelles offers guests an array of facilities including the hotel's fabulous spa, set high above the resort at the top of the hillside, with complementary yoga classes and a range of treatments. For mum and dad, there's the opportunity to enjoy some time alone with plenty of supervised activities at the Kids for All Seasons children's club, including a junior spa and a 24 hour baby-sitting service on hand too.
Dining is an integral part of a stay at the resort. The hillside setting of the open-sided ZEZ restaurant makes the perfect location for a leisurely breakfast, while each evening offering delicious a la carte pan-Asian choices; Koi, the Japanese sushi lounge opens most days; while Kanal, located beside the main pool, as well as being open for lunch, provides Creole and Mediterranean flavours each evening. Occasional lunchtime beach barbecues and in-villa dining options complete the line-up of dining options.
Just a few steps from the beach, the 517m² (5,565ft²) swimming pool has plenty of room to relax away from the sand and surf, whether you're stretching out on one of the sunloumgers or getting a taste of the poolside dining and refreshments. The gorgeous Petite Anse beach is also where guests can take advantage of the hotel's 'sunset golf experience'. Here you'll be able to drive bio-degradable golf balls into the ocean, while sipping cocktails as the sun sets!
Four Seasons Seychelles is an excellent choice when combining with other luxury resorts and private islands as part of a tailor-made Seychelles island-hopping holiday including with its sister property Four Seasons Seychelles at Desroches Island which you can read about in our recent blog. It is also great as a Safari & Beach twin-centre, such as with the Four Seasons Serengeti. We were somewhat disappointed in the level of accommodation provided given the closure and while we were informed that both would be available during our visit, we found that to not necessarily be the case. In addition, the night we arrived, we were told the Steak Shack, which was one of the pop…
