Harbour House Hotel

Set in the heart of Hermanus, the Harbour House Hotel blends perfectly into the tranquil ambiance of the picturesque coastal town. Built right on the seafront and above the Old Harbour, listen to the crash of waves and enjoy beautiful views. Hermanus is famous for its whale watching and guests can take in the spectacle from the shore or can get closer to the action with boat trips. For the more adventurous at heart there's the chance to get up close to some of the ocean's fiercest predators. Cage shark diving brings those brave enough to try it nose to nose with great white sharks, a thrilling and certainly memorable activity.

With so many attractions nearby, the hotel's comfortable accommodation is the perfect place to retire after a busy day exploring. Taking its architectural mark from its origins as a 1920's Manor House, rooms hold a touch of old world class but are of a predominantly modern design. The hotel consists of the restored Manor House with intimate Romantic Rooms, all with views, the New Wing with 18 spacious rooms, featuring a kitchenette and lounge leading out onto a private balcony as well as Harbour Square (previously Quarters Hotel), the most recent addition, which boasts 18 modern rooms and suites. The rooms all feature romantic solid cast baths, walk in showers and ceiling or standing fans as well as tea and coffee making facilities, Nespresso machines, flat screen satellite TV and wireless internet access.

The crowning glory at Harbour House is its most enjoyable whale watching site, the infinity pool, just a stone's throw from the sea. The magnificent Lookout Terrace next to the pool is also a popular whale watching spot where guests are invited to sit and enjoy sundowners and cocktail snacks with sweeping views of Walker Bay.
