Kambaku Safari Lodge is an exclusive yet affordable lodge nestled in the heart of the beautiful Timbavati Private Game Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Offering only eight chalets, the experience is a truly intimate one where guests can enjoy an unforgettable wildlife experience either from a safari vehicle or on foot. Expect to see the Big 5 as well as favourites such as hippo and hyena whilst always keeping an eye out for the famous white lions of the Timbavati and the endangered African wild dogs.

Owner run and managed, the lodge itself is beautifully constructed and tastefully decorated to blend in with the surrounding bush. It's a proudly 'Green' lodge powered entirely by solar energy. The eight thatched chalets (including 3 inter-leading family units) are set around the camp waterhole, which can also be viewed from the main pool deck or upper deck. The rooms each have a private veranda and are equipped with an overhead fan, four-poster beds and en-suite bathrooms with both shower and bath.

At the main lodge is a welcoming fireplace, small library, swimming pool and bar as well as a dining area offering hearty brunches, delicious high teas and unforgettable dinners under the night sky. A spa and gym are available for use at the sister lodge River Sands.

Kambaku Safari Lodge is ideal for family holidays and caters for children of all ages. It is fully fenced and offers a unique and fun-filled Kid's Program as well as toy box and pool table.

Getting There

Approximately 1 hour's drive from Hoedspruit Airport and approximately 3 hour's drive from Kruger Mpumalanga Airport, both of which receive regular flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
