Encompassing an exclusive 5 star, boutique hotel, wellness spa and winery set in its own vineyard, Leeu Estates is set in the scenic Franschhoek valley, just under an hour's drive from Cape Town. This elegant and private hideaway, surrounded by landscaped gardens, offers a spa, swimming pool, fine dining restaurant and wine tasting studio to showcase the estate's vintages.
Leeu Estates have beautifully refurbished a 19th century Cape Dutch manor which houses 17 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites, taking central position on 108 hectares of vineyards, landscaped gardens and fynbos in the Franschhoek valley. Contemporary yet classic, each room is individually styled and filled with customised architectural detailing. Each one features carefully curated artwork and sculptures from various countries, luxurious extras and superbly equipped marble bathrooms. Many have their own terraces and fireplaces. Careful attention to detail is prevalent throughout the property.
Guests will enjoy their meals in the stylish Manor House dining room, conservatory or al fresco on the terrace with breath taking views of valley, vineyard and the Dassenberg mountain. The menu has been crafted to offer dishes featuring the finest locally sourced organic and ethically farmed produce in a creative fusion with vibrant world flavours. Of course, evening meals must surely be enjoyed with a glass of award-wining Mullineux & Leeu wine. Should guests wish to venture further afield for their dining they can visit one of the Leeu Collection's sister properties in the village of Franschhoek.
The cosy, reading room in the Manor House is a perfect place to sit in the winter months and enjoy a roaring fire. Featuring several treatment rooms, the state-of-the-art spa also offers a steam room and hair salon as well as a gym which overlooks the vines.
Located just outside Franschhoek (a 15-minute walk) in the heart of the beautiful Cape Winelands, approximately 1 hour's drive from Cape Town (could be longer in traffic).
