Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is located in the world famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve forming part of the greater Kruger National Park. River Lodge has been built on the banks of the Sabie River, positioned on a site with trees dating back 800 years.

The drive time from the Kruger Mpumlanga Airport is approximately 1. 45 hours, from Johannesburg 5 hours, from Skukuza 25 min and from Hoedspruit Airport 2.15 hours. SA Airlink has one flight daily from Johannesburg to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve (Mala Mala Airfield).

Lodge was beautiful, we had animals in our backyard. Again food was amazing & staff was accommodating.
We actually stayed at Ivory Lodge as we were upgraded due to a fire at River Lodge. I honestly don't have the words to describe this place! I could cry thinking about it!!
What a beautiful lodge, elegant, pristine, immaculate and so well maintained.The staff were incredible, always one step ahead of your needs and get to know you so well in such a short period of time.
