Ngala Safari Lodge is situated in &Beyond Ngala Private Game Reserve, which shares an unfenced boundary with the world-renowned Kruger National Park. A spectacular diversity of wildlife moves through this immense wilderness, including breeding herds of elephant, leopard, spotted hyena, giraffe, large buffalo herds and white rhino.
Ngala Safari Lodge boasts 20 classic thatched cottages and the spacious Family Suite. Each ensuite cottage, with private veranda, exudes a romantic colonial ambiance with nostalgic safari memorabilia throughout. The lodge also provides a swimming pool, safari shop, waterhole, outdoor dining area and offers a unique children's programme.
Getting to Ngala would involve either a light aircraft flight from Johannesburg Airport directly to Ngala Airstrip or a scheduled SAA flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Airport followed by a one-hour road transfer. It is a six-hour drive from Johannesburg on excellent roads in a two-wheel drive vehicle.
Activities on offer include early morning and late afternoon game drives that continue after nightfall, interpretive bush walks and walking safaris with open air sleep-out option.

The most amazing experience. We loved everything from Amy upon on arrival to the staff. Nicholas the butler was great and helpful. Our tracker Weisman and our ranger Ruel were great people. They were so knowledgable and personable. We were able to see the Big 5 and more and had 19 elephants come to the pool to drink and play around! Amy placed our jeep with all honeymoon couples…
The highlight of our trip. We left Ngala almost two weeks ago and still can't stop talking about how great it was. Food was delicious. Room was perfect. Loved the staff. Our driver & tracker were the best. Will surely recommend this lodge to anyone I know interested in going on safari.
