Local wildlife in abundant throughout the Ngala Reserve, with multiple large prides of lions spending time nearby and wild dog moving throughout the reserve. Game drives in the private reserve allow guests to carefully travel off-road to track these amazing animals. Sharing an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park, game drives are rich in wildlife big and small. For guests wanting a closer experience, specialised walking safaris and rhino notching experiences are available. Witness the darting of a rhino, and assist the veterinary team in notching the sleeping rhino's ear for research and security monitoring, before releasing it back into the wild. Ear notches enable researchers to correctly identify different individuals on the reserve.

Children are given the opportunity to participate in expeditions and activities, such as crafts and painting, traditional bow-making, beading, fishing and learning tracking skills. At the end of each day, children will find the next day's adventure waiting on their pillow. Parents can be assured that each activity is selected by age group and is carried out with experience staff and childminders.
