This is a restful and charming travel experience, with the inviting suites the perfect place to relax and drink in Africa's diverse and beautiful landscapes at your leisure. The trains contain a definite echo of old world class, as you find yourself in possession of the same licence to luxury as that held by privileged travellers in days gone by and enjoy classic Edwardian styling mixed with modern amenities.
Guests have a choice of 3 accommodation options, from the well-appointed Royal and Deluxe Suites to the comfortable Pullman Suites. All include en suite bathrooms and elegant wood panelled walls. As the train's most luxurious accommodation option, Royal Suites are extremely spacious, each taking up half a carriage. Fresh from the kitchen and made by a team of chefs, meals are served in the refined ambience of the dining cars, dinner is a formal affair and evening attire must match this. Guests can expect wonderful views from the observation cars and the lounge area is an ideal place to relax and meet other guests.
The train departs from Pretoria and Cape Town in South Africa to various destinations across the continent, including Victoria Falls in Zambia, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Swakopmund in Namibia.
Excursions are offered en-route on journeys, ranging from village and city tours to museum visits and golfing.
