Serondella Game Lodge

Serondella Lodge, deep in the private Thornybush Game Reserve bordering the Kruger National Park is one of the country's great tracts of untamed game-viewing. The lodge is ideally situated right in front of the Inyoni Pan, where Kingfishers dive and game come to quench their thirst. The pan is floodlit at night and you will have the opportunity to take some spectacular photographs or videos from the wide wooden deck. Serondella means 'the place of the elephants' which are the habitual patrons to the lodge's two flanking waterholes.

Serondella is a comfortable and intimate lodge offering only 4 suites, each with excellent vistas from both the bedroom and bathroom large windows to the watering hole. For families there is the self-contained family suite with 2 downstairs and 1 upstairs suites and a reception room with open fireplace. The general area includes a boma, bar and swimming pool.

Getting There

Access by air from the Hoedspruit Airport which is approximately a 30 minute drive from the lodge. The drive time to Thornybush Game Lodge by road from Johannesburg is approximately 6 - 7 hours.


Morning and evening game drive safaris in open top Land Rover, walking safaris, bird watching, fishing and day tours such as white water rafting or village tours.
