The lodge possesses 4 superior, air-conditioned suites and one presidential, 2-bedroom suite. The presidential suite also has a plunge pool, butler's kitchen and a private boma with a fireplace outside. The lodge itself provides a variety of features including WiFi, library, pool and a delightful underground wine cellar with a window looking out at the scenery surrounding the lodge, the perfect place for a meal.

Getting There

Access by air from the Hoedspruit Airport which is approximately a 30 minute drive from the lodge. The drive time to Thornybush Game Lodge by road from Johannesburg is approximately 6-7 hours.

We think this might be our favourite place in the world! We weren't sure what to expect as neither of us had been on safari before, but the Lodge had such a lovely feeling to it, helped greatly by the lovely staff who work there and the authentic, unfussy but very comfortable atmosphere.
