The Last Word Franschhoek is an exclusive, five-star, historic residence in the centre of what many regard as the most charming and picturesque village in the Cape Winelands. Elegantly restored in the Cape Huguenot tradition, The Last Word Franschhoek is right in the heart of a food and wine lover's utopia
This intimate hotel offers six luxurious rooms, four of which are superior doubles that open onto private patio gardens and two suites, both of which have access to semi-private pools. All rooms have large en-suite bathrooms and are designed with sumptuous home comforts, creating an elegant and sophisticated interior.
By day, relax by the pool or venture into the wine route via the Franschhoek Tram or exclusively with a Last Word private chauffeur. A main area holds a wooden-decked balcony with spectacular views across the mountains. The perfect spot for a local wine sundowner.
The Last Word Franschhoek is only a minute's walk from the many excellent award-winning restaurants and numerous character-filled boutique style shops and art galleries. The Franschhoek is approximately 1 hour's drive from Cape Town. An in-house chauffeur service is available to guests for restaurant transfers or tailored tours to the highlights of Cape Town at an additional charge.
Besides the wine tasting on surrounding estates there is also wine tasting on horseback, hiking, golf, hot air ballooning, biking, visiting museums and historical sites, shopping, day trips to Hermanus and eating out in award-winning restaurants.

Review of The Last Word Franschhoek
Fabulous hotel in a great position In Franschhoek, owner and team were so helpful and offered lots of suggestions for our stay. Loved it !
Even walking into this hotel is special- all leafy and set back from the road.
The whole place is stunning, the room especially so. We loved it here. They made our stay really special with lovely touches in the room; on the last night we came back from dinner and they had lit lots of candles and left us a bottle of fizz to celebrate! It is also perfectly situated.…
