Eagles Crag Lodge, Shamwari Private Game Reserve
The malaria free Shamwari Private Game Reserve is situated in the Eastern Cape and is home to the Big 5: elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. This reserve has received numerous international awards, including the World's Leading Conservation Company and Game Reserve for many consecutive years. It is situated in verdant bush along the Bushmans River and forms a natural extension to the famous Garden Route. Luxury safari accommodation is offered in 6 different lodges.
Eagles Crag is one of Shamwari's premier lodges, nestled in a valley providing the ultimate in luxury - privacy and isolation. Each of the nine suites has been built to maximize the privacy of guests in the most tranquil of settings. Each suite boasts a private deck with a heated plunge pool and charming indoor and outdoor showers. With wall-to-wall glass doors on two sides the suites provide stunning views of the surrounding cliffs.
The luxury spa offers a wide variety of personalised treatments and is the perfect place to relax following your game drive experience. In addition to the indoor and outdoor dining areas, other facilities include a fitness centre, gift boutique and two lounges. The upstairs lounge and bar offers a deck and aerial viewing pods, while the downstairs lounge comes complete with fireplace, television and billiard table
