Kariega Settlers Drift

Kariega Settlers Drift is a luxury tented lodge set on the Big 5, malaria-free Kariega Game Reserve in South Africa’s Eastern Cape region. In an untouched part of the park, the lodge consists of 9 spacious tented suites, each with stunning views and secluded viewing decks gazing over the Bushman’s River.

Complimenting a visit to Cape Town and the Garden Route, the Eastern Cape offers pristine African wilderness with abundant wildlife. The Kariega Reserve has 5 safaris lodges to suit all needs. Settlers Drift is the reserve’s most luxurious option. Its tented suites are luxuriously appointed and perfectly positioned, each with a bedroom, living area, indoor and outdoor shower and private viewing deck. The main lodge consists of a restaurant, bar, wine cellar, spacious decks, a pool, boma, curio shop and library. There is also an area for spa treatments. Activities at Kariega are largely twice-daily game drives in open vehicles, however, there is also river cruises, guided bush walks, fishing and canoeing.
