Kambaku River Sands is an exclusive yet affordable safari lodge located in the heart of the beautiful Timbavati Private Game Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Positioned on the banks of a seasonal riverbed, the lodge is totally unfenced and enjoys a continuous stream of game, with almost daily up close and personal experiences with elephant, buffalo, hyena, warthog and bushbuck to name a few.
The 10 luxury thatched suites are ensuite with bath, indoor double shower and outdoor shower. They are all air-conditioned with a private viewing deck. The spacious main lodge boasts an infinity pool, a communal lounge with two open fireplaces, a sunken wine cellar overlooking a waterhole and a wrap-around bar with ice-cold Craft beer on tap. During a stay guests can spoil themselves in the spa, enjoy a game of chess in wine cellar, have a cocktail whilst watching elephants drink from the pool, or work up a sweat in the private gym. Meals at Kambaku River Sands are a mixture of European and local African cuisine and are usually served around the open-air boma bonfire.
