One of the few family-run lodges left in Kruger’s famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Notten’s Bush Camp is one of the original game lodges in South Africa. With the absence of electric lighting; the ambient candlelight and lanterns capture a truly authentic African safari experience. The Sabi Sands is known for its prolific wildlife, including the Big 5, which you will enjoy on daily game drives with the experienced guides.
With its splendid panoramic views, Notten’s is the perfect place for peace and relaxation while watching wildlife meander past. All the lodge’s suites have both indoor and outdoor shower facilities and each suite leads onto a private wooden deck with a beautiful view of the bush. Paraffin lamps and candles replace electric lighting for ambience and all the rooms are cooled with air-conditioning. You will depart on your game drives from the summer house which also serves as a social area with a comfy lounge, bar, library, and indoor fireplace for winter evenings. Breakfast is served on the deck where cheeky monkeys and inquisitive birds hope for a crumb or two. Harty dinners are served in the summer house or in the candlelit boma beneath a canopy of stars. Between your activities, you can laze by the pool or have a massage at the Nature Spa.
