Discover Mateya Safari Lodge

Mateya Safari Lodge is a luxurious and intimate lodge in the excellent, malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. Madikwe is home to the Super 7 – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, rhino, cheetah, and wild dog, plus a host of other species and incredible birdlife. The lodge caters for a maximum of 10 guests ensuring exclusivity, privacy and the very highest standards of personal care and attention always.

The lodge is nestled in the rocky outcrop of the Gabbro hills and comprises of dining, lounge, and relaxation areas, with a high elevation and an uninterrupted view of the Reserve. Throughout the main area is an impressive collection of original African art and literature. The suites are arranged in a radial configuration around one of the hills, each with a private, rim-flow pool deck and natural window sala overlooking the waterhole or surrounding plains. Late breakfasts and lunches are served on the Lodge’s main deck while dinner is served in the graceful dining room or on the wooden viewing deck around the fire pit and overlooking the wilderness below. Between your safari activities, either head to the pool or the wellness center with its gym and spa treatments.
