Loapi Tented Camp is one of 3 luxury safari camps in South Africa’s Tswalu Private Wildlife Reserve, situated on the southernmost edge of the Kalahari.
The camp’s 6 individual safari homes under canvas accommodate 2 or 4 guests and are positioned to make the most of unimpeded views across the reserve’s characteristic arid savannah. The ultimate private safari experience, there is at least 100 metres (330 feet) between each residence assuring your solitude and seclusion, and in addition, you will have your own private safari vehicle.

The residences are contemporary glass and steel pavilions which are 300 square metres (about 3200 square feet) and over 400 square metres (about 4600 square feet) respectively. Each of the homes has a kitchen, as well as a living and dining area and all meals are prepared by a private chef. Outside you will find shaded decks, which feature day beds for relaxation, an environmentally friendly plunge pool and a fire pit for morning coffee and sundowners. Tswalu Reserve offers amazing opportunities for seeing the incredible desert-adapted black rhino, black-maned lions, cheetah, aardvark, brown hyena, and the elusive pangolin. Aside from the private game drives you will also get to enjoy meerkat encounters, nature walks, tracking, horse riding, stargazing, visiting ancient rock engravings and star-bed experiences.
