Garden Lodge is found in the Grootbos Nature Reserve; a spectacular array of fynbos and forest-clad hills that overlook the whale-watching haven of Walker Bay, near Hermanus. Home of the "Marine Big 5" - whales, sharks, dolphins, seals and penguins; and with unparalleled floral diversity on the 1750-ha reserve, Grootbos offers you a one-of-a-kind luxury African experience.
The 11 suites at Garden Lodge are set against the backdrop of this natural beauty, surrounded by carefully manicured fynbos gardens and native trees. The main lodge offers a number of facilities, including a restaurant, a children's entertainment room and a lounge to relax in. Family holiday to Grootbos Garden Lodge
A pared back but beautifully stylish retreat set back in the hills with jaw-dropping views of Gansbaai and the whales. The lodges were immaculate and had every you could possibly wish for - large lounge, big bathroom, kitchen area and chill-out spots on the balcony. The food here was outstanding an…
Again - simply amazing. We loved it there and it was a wonderful end to our trip. Stunning property and the staff were so friendly - particularly towards the children who absolutely loved it there. Lots for us all to do and the food was delicious.
Idyllic. Even despite the weather we loved this rural retreat and made use of many of the facilites. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, food was delicious and beautifully presented. Loved coming back to a lit fire in our lodge.

Holiday to Grootbos Garden Lodge
This we have mixed reviews. when we arrived, everyone was really nice, and the lodge was gorgeous. the second night, the wait staff seemed less interested, and we felt like we had done something wrong? They just treated us more like we were a nuisance than a valued customer. i'm not sure why.
