Perched on top of the cliffs at Hermanus, The Marine has one of the southern hemisphere's most spectacular seascapes. The hotel has commanding views that extend across Walker Bay or over the beautiful internal courtyard, finely manicured gardens and the Overberg Mountains. The Marine offers guests the unique opportunity to experience the finest land-based whale watching in the world. From June to September guests are able to view these majestic creatures from the comfort of their beautiful sea view room.
The Marine offers 40 guest rooms including standard rooms, luxury rooms, suites and premier suites. World-class cuisine is served in the award-winning Origins at the Marine and The Pavillion. Relax over afternoon tea or cocktails in the Sun Lounge. There is also an on-site spa.

We have stayed at the Marine several times; an iconic hotel in a beautiful location. The suite was well appointed and tastefully furnished to a high standard. The breakfast was really delicious. We were a little sad that the bistro has closed because on occasion more simple dishes are desired.
The Marine was clearly the best hotel in Hermanus. The rooms were beautiful!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. This hotel had the best breakfast out of all the hotels we stayed at. We loved staying at this hotel.
