This restored manor house and former perfumery, dating back to 1890, is situated on the outskirts of the village. The in-house Monneaux Restaurant is rated as one of South Africa's best and serves an inspired fusion of Western and Eastern influences.

Adventure Holiday to Franschhoek Country House & Villas
Beautiful villa and grounds. Easy access to the pretty town of Franschhoek. Lovely dinner at the villas and also in town. We had a two-night stay and on one of the days we spent time at Babylonstoren's vineyards and enjoyed a great lunch at Babel.
This was our least favorite hotel by a long shot. The room smelled a bit moldy and a lot of updates were needed. It felt like the entire hotel needed a remodel. It was in a good location which was helpful.

Definitely subpar for a 5-star hotel. The rooms were outdated and dirty. Lots of hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor. Enjoyed everywhere else we stayed but would not come here again.
