Anantara Peace Haven Resort is a sprawling 5-star resort, situated on a century-old coconut estate in Tangalle. The property sits on Sri Lanka’s beautiful, rugged southern coastline, with beaches fringed by coconut palms and lush, tropical grounds. The resort offers spectacular cliffside dining, Ayurvedic treatments at the Anantara Spa and an abundance of water sports and other leisure activities.

There are 152 uniquely designed rooms and villas, all with either a garden, ocean, or beachside view. The rooms are spacious and modern with traditional touches such as rattan chairs, Sri Lankan art and wood-carved tables. There are 32 villas with private pools, and these include multiple areas for lounging on plush pillows while peacocks wander by. There are 3 restaurants at the resort offering variety in dining locations, and the chance to sample Sri Lankan flavours alongside more traditional Western fare. Facilities include tennis and badminton courts, a swimming pool, a poolside spa and a yoga and meditation pavilion. An on-site naturalist offers walking tours around the property, pointing out the plants and endemic animals like monkeys, monitor lizards and turtles that nest on the beach.
