Discover W15 Hanthana

Dating back to the days of the British empire, W15 Hanthana is a 9-room beautifully restored bungalow that blends in perfectly with its surroundings of rolling tea plantations and emerald green forests. Only 15 minutes from Kandy's city centre, you can explore the nearby cultural sights as well as head out into the vast estate either on foot or in the hotel’s vintage open-top Land Rover Defender. Heritage décor and private butlers evoke the nostalgia of plantation-era Ceylon.

Island-inspired architecture blends with colonial charm. The bungalow has 5 rooms, each featuring luxurious four-poster beds and a large enclosed private garden, perfect for sunbathing or an intimate dinner. The other 4 suites are in the original stables and overlook the exquisite Hanthana mountain range. Dining takes place on the wraparound veranda and the cuisine is a mix of Western fusion and local classics such as a traditional tea planters’ lunch of rice and curry. When you are not touring Kandy or the surrounding estate, in the garden you will find a tennis court, a swimming pool and a large lawn for croquet and boules.
