Makini Bush Camp

Makini Bush Camp is a small, intimate wildlife lodge on the edge of Yala National Park. With just three guests tents and a lobby tent this camp is simplicity in itself. Wildlife is the focus here – whether around the camp or in the park – and at the heart of everything Makini stands for.

The Tented Chalets are spacious and simple, with air-conditioning, open air bathrooms, and a small plunge pool to cool off in between safaris. Large verandas are the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the sounds of the jungle. Meals are served outside, with fires lit in the evening and a convivial atmosphere where guests swap stories of their wildlife encounters. Two of the chalets are doubles, and the third slightly larger and configured for a small family group. The attentive staff are all wildlife enthusiasts, keen to point out the creatures big and small that also call the camp home.
