Camillia Hills is a luxurious 5-bedroom boutique bungalow hotel in Sri Lanka’s crisp hill country. The property is a modern interpretation of a traditional tea bungalow set in lush gardens with a dramatic lake, hill vistas and easy access to Hatton’s tea plantations. From the hotel you are able to visit temples, colonial sights, and tea factories. You can also hike to waterfalls, scale Adam’s Peak, visit a leopard research centre, or picnic in the tea fields.

The hotel offers 3 Lakeview rooms and 2 Camellia rooms, all cosy and inviting, with contemporary styling and 4-poster beds. You will be tended to by butlers serving home-cooked meals, drinks, and snacks on the open-sided terrace, indoors or on your own private terrace. More of a private house than a hotel, the atmosphere is relaxed and social. When you are not out exploring the sights, you can relax in the colourful garden, fringed by tea bushes, swim in the infinity pool or drink in the panoramas on the cushy sofas, warmed by an open fire. If you are feeling more active, wander the estate trails or pop into local villages.
