Matemwe Lodge offers 12 chalets including 6 triples and 2 of those with private pools. Each chalet has a private veranda with hammocks and couches overlooking the Indian Ocean. The beautifully presented rooms feature large comfortable beds and expansive bathrooms with deep bathtubs and walk-in showers.

After Kichwa Tembo this felt more 'corporate', and as stated elsewhere wasn't a very comfortable experience but it was possible to eat excellent healthy meals. The access road was terrible and we heard repeated stories of government inaction and corruption, but speaking out landed you in jail!

What a lovely place! We really enjoyed our time here - the staff were all amazingly friendly and we even got upgraded to the Retreat for our last 3 nights - it was beyond incredible! We did a few activities but mostly just relaxed, which was great.
