Moving across the Serengeti in-line with the annual Great Migration, Ubuntu Migration Camp is a seasonal tented camp that offers magnificent game viewing. Small and intimate, Ubuntu is a traditional under canvas experience with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere pervading camp.
The camp consists of only eight tents, set 20 metres apart, and guests can expect double or twin beds, with triples provided on request. All tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms that comprise bucket showers and flush toilets. The main area of Ubuntu is split between a lounge, bar and a dining room. Its open plan design is a great feature, opening out to the wilderness with spectacular views. Dine under canvas and drink in the horizon with a sundowner.
The camp flits between the north, south and west Serengeti, spending late July to October in the north, December to March in the south and May to July in the west. While in the north there's the chance to visit the Mara River and take in wildebeest daringly cross the crocodile infested waters, while in the south it's calving season. In the west there's the chance to stay in the Western Corridor, renowned for magnificent game viewing and the wildebeest crossings of the Grumeti River.
A 45 minute drive from Kogatende Airstrip (Jul - Nov), 2 hours from Ndutu Airstrip (Dec - Mar) and 45 minutes from Grumeti Airstrip (May - Jul).
Game drives are available all year round while cultural visits and walking safaris are exclusive to December to March.
