Immaculate and well maintained hotel. The villas are really well designed with privacy for parents and children. The parents bathroom was awesome. The air con wasn't quite powerful enough to keep the whole villa cool and rattled a bit. Housekeeping was faultless and the room was kept spic and span from morning till night. A lot of effort went into keeping the gardens and the beach beautiful and well maintained. The spa is impressive. In a league of its own. Korn the Thai masseuse was beyond incredible. The rates were very good value so we indulged in massages most days. The food was exceptional and the three meals a day were a real pleasure for our family. So much fish and Indian influence in the cuisine. The breakfast was spot on and not overwhelming. Lunch by the beach was a highlight of the hi day. The sultan dining room for dinner is exquisite and the only cool place in the resort. All the staff were exceptional. Friendly but very discreet. We did a different activity each day. Snorkelling, a reef walk with a local fisherman, a 10m ocean five with the kids and a morning making hats out of palm leaves. Although this is a hotel with lots of rooms we didn't feel encroached on. Shame there are no ocean view villas for families.

The resort is quite spectacular; suits have a plunge pool outside and inside is all that you would expect from a five star resort. Situated on the beach front the resort is quite large with extensive landscaped grounds and a large pool with plenty of shade to make it comfortable. The food was good and plentiful and the service good. The pool side fruit cocktails were great, very refreshing and the pool side lunch menu had plenty on offer. It was quite humid in October during my stay and the pool and beach water were quite warm, good if you like it that way but not really refreshing to cool down in. There is not a great deal to do except relax as the resort is some distance from anything. The two nights here were good to relax after safari but for me any longer and I would be looking for more activity.

we wanted this to be the highlight of our trip and it truly was. The resort was beautiful. the villa was historically and traditionally decorated with modern facilities and accommodations. We are world travelers and this was one of the nicest resorts we ever stayed at. We were a little nervous about having meals included but the food was fine. The beach and pools were beautiful and the service was exemplary.

ONe of our favorite destination resorts. We are world travelers and ave experienced many levels of hospitality. Baraza went above and beyond. I only wixh they had more options regarding the food. uch of it was traditional European and some American food. We would have preferred to experience some more traditional cuisine.
