Accommodation takes the form of eight comfortable cottages (bandas), built from local stone and palm thatch. The bandas are well spaced, with four placed on one side of the main guest area and four placed on the other. Step out onto your personal veranda and admire captivating views of the Selous or relax inside with comfy chairs and a large king size bed, draped with a mosquito net to protect from unwanted guests. For further protection rooms come complete with special tented curtains that can be drawn across the front of the bandas at night.Guests can expect a unique bathroom, with an open air shower and high flush W.C. For honeymooners, friends travelling together or families Beho Beho also offers Baily's Banda which is a luxury, 2 bedroom private villa with lounge and private swimming pool.

The camp has been owned by the Baily family for over thirty years, so finely honed hospitality is delivered, with the aim to make guests feel Beho Beho is a home away from home. The main area is nicely furnished and open to the breeze. Guests will find dining areas, a full sized billiards table and a pool.

As an optional extra for Beho Beho guests staying a minimum of four nights there is the once-in-a-lifetime Treehouse experience. Starting in mid-afternoon guests leave the camp on foot, accompanied by an armed guide and walk approximately two hours through the splendid isolation of the Selous wilderness to reach their unique home for the night - The Treehouse. Complete with double bed and flush toilet guests can either sleep under the stars or under the cover of a canvas pavilion, a truly memorable experience.

Getting There

A 1 hour flight from Dar es Salaam. The camp is then reached by a 1km transfer from Beho Beho airstrip.


Game drives, bush walks, boating safari on Lake Tagalala & visits to the Maji Moto hot springs.
