Set in the heart of Stone Town, Emerson Spice is a comfortable accommodation option decorated in typical Zanzibari style. The surrounding area is rich in European, African and Arab influences. The hotel is a great base for exploring the city and learning more about its long history. A maze of winding streets and alleyways, become lost in the culture and heritage of this one time capital of the spice trade.
Accommodation at the property features a number of modern amenities and a good place to relax after a hard day spent exploring. Rooms are en-suite with doubles including a bath and shower, while the family room features a bath. All rooms include a fan and air conditioner to keep guests cool, a small fridge and mosquito net to ward off unwanted visitors. Guests can expect large Swahili beds, spacious interiors and private verandas (one room option, however does not possess this feature).
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the downstairs cafe and take to the hotel's rooftop Tea House for tasty dinners and the chance to watch the sun set with a cocktail. Or, take to Stone Town itself to sample some local delicacies.

We truly believe that the Emerson Spice is on the road to excellence! The rooms are well decorated and the food is excellent, especially dinner on the roof terrace. Shame that they building the room next door to us so the banging from the hammers and drills were are a bit noisy through the day.Read full trip review
