Overlooking a beach of crisp white sand, Gold Zanzibar is located on the northern tip of the Island paradise of Zanzibar. Set in the Kendwa area, this beachside property is conveniently situated around a one hour drive away from the international airport and due to its positioning is not affected by the tides, as such guests can swim in the ocean at any time of the day.
There are 5 room types to choose from; Deluxe Ocean View Rooms, Deluxe Garden Rooms, Beach Suites, Beach Suites with pavilion and the largest and most exclusive accommodation type, the Luxury Villa Retreats. The Beach Suites with pavilions are particularly comfortable, with direct access to the beach and pool and with the accompanying pavilions providing the perfect place to relax or enjoy a romantic dinner. Decor in the rooms is cool, with gentle creams and wood furnishings creating furthering the pervading sense of calm owned by the property. All rooms provide bathrooms with separate bath and shower, TVs, air conditioning and ceiling fans along with various other modern amenities.
Guests at Gold Zanzibar can expect an excellent spa experience in the hotel's recreation of a Balinese village, in which guests are treated to a variety of treatments delivered by qualified therapists. Guests are also welcome to make use of a fully equipped gym and the hotel pool. Dining is an experience in itself, with the menu providing choices of both local and international cuisine.

Paradise - pure luxury. It was so spacious, very well kept gardens and the food was amazing. The sunbeds were the most comfortable we have ever had and again the staff could not do enough for you.
Very poor. All our rooms were infected by mosquitoes on arrival. No covers on cushions, lights not working, safe not working, poor management and overall a rip off. We looked for a taxi from the hotel to a local spot and was quoted 60 dollars. Went outside and got it for 8 dollars. Drink prices were astronomical. Wine at 50 a bottle of plonk. Went to hotel next…
