Found in the Northern Serengeti and expertly positioned close to the Mara River for incredible game viewing during the Great Migration, Lemala Mara offers a breath taking safari experience. The quiet surrounds are perfect for watching one of the animal kingdom's greatest spectacles, with two of the migration's major crossing points nearby. During the migration guests can look forward to a host of wildebeest and zebra sightings along with the many predators that follow in their wake. However, outside of the migration season resident game in the area is very strong, with strong prides of lion and other resident game.
Accommodation takes the form of traditional mobile tents all of which offer an authentic safari experience all the while retaining some home comforts. The tents are quite spacious and feature running water, a flush toilet, a safari shower, light via solar power and wood floors. Tents include either 1 king size or 2 double beds. Guests can also expect an outdoor lounger; ideal for casual game viewing.
The main guest area is very warm and welcoming, with elegant safari chic. Chandeliers and leather sofas add to the charm of the mess tent's three separate areas; dining room, lounge and bar. Food from the camp can be quite a special affair with delicious picnics and lunches served in the wilderness while on all-day game drives.
Around 9 km from Kogatende Airstrip.
Game walks, viewing of the great migration and 4x4 game drives.

In many ways this was the highlight. To be surrounded by the golden grasses of the Serengeti, whilst being so close to the Mara River; and with lions and zebras wandering around outside the tent at night was just unforgettable. The staff were all exceptional and the tent was very comfortable including ensuite facilities no less.
This was so special and I will never again experience such luxury . Again picnic lunch fabulous and quality of food , Landary and guest facilities great . Only issue was who was picking us up from airstrip on first day there meant we hung around for 90 minutes which was a bit stressful ? Apparently this happened to other people too . Mariagi was the most amazing game guide…
