Lemala Nanyukie is a completely solar-powered camp which offers 15 luxurious guest tents, one of which is a 2-bed roomed suite, perfect for families. Each are spaced well apart for maximum privacy and have canvas walls and a light contemporary décor with textured accessories, luxurious upholstery and wooden furnishings. You can expect an oversized bed, a lounge area, and generous bathroom with shower, free-standing bathtub and double vanity. Enjoy a dip in your own private pool from the comfort of your deck or laze on the outside lounge beds enjoying a cocktail as the sun sets. This is also the perfect spot in the mornings, listening for the sounds of wildlife as you sip freshly brewed coffee, tea or chocolate delivered to your suite.
The main area of the camp has a comfortable lounge and fully-stocked bar, outdoor and indoor dining areas and a viewing deck leading to the swimming pool, a great spot for enjoying the amazing Serengeti sun sets and moon rises.The swimming pool allows you to cool off in the hot afternoons and enjoy cold drinks served whilst you enjoy the vistas. It's the perfect place to unwind between activities. There is also a separate spa tent offering secluded relaxation amongst the trees.
Al fresco breakfasts and lunches and candlelit dinners in the multiple dining locations are a both a culinary and nature experience. The surrounding Serengeti landscape can be enjoyed on a host of activities including game drives, guided walks, birdwatching and hot air balloon safaris.
There's also the Lemala Cubs, an interactive set of activities for children visiting Lemala Nanyukie. These fun and educational activities aim to show future generations the need for conservation of Africa's wildlife. The added bonus is that mum and dad relax for a couple of hours. The children will enjoy things like identifying animals and birds, being taught tracking and spoor identification techniques by the guides, learning how to throw (blunt) spears and use bows and arrows like the Maasai, walking with the Maasai to hear stories about their culture and way of life, and joining the chefs in the kitchen to prepare meals or roasting marshmallows over the campfire before bed.
Lemala Nanyukie is located a 45-minute drive east of the Seronera Airstrip which can be accessed by light aircraft flights around Tanzania.
