Facing out on Lake Ndutu and surrounded by acacia trees synonymous with the Serengeti plains, Ndutu Safari Lodge is well placed in the Serengeti's south east and removed from the bustle of the tourist circuit. A great place to unwind in the serenity of one of Africa's most glorious landscapes, the camp offers amazing game viewing opportunities, with the chance to take in the spectacle of the great migration during calving season.
Extending from the central area of camp are 34 stone built cottages which sport spacious interiors and possess stunning views over the lake from private verandas. Constructed from locally sourced materials, the accommodation offers an authentic Africa flavour and a comfortable base to explore the surrounding area. Guests can expect double, triple, family and single beds available. All rooms are wheelchair accessible and en-suite.
Meals are home cooked and positively delicious. Enjoy picnic breakfasts, 3 course lunches and 4 course dinners. Those with special dietary requirements are catered for at the lodge, with vegetarian options on offer. Of an evening gather around the campfire and share stories of the day's exploits or sit at the bar and make friends with the genets that peer down from the rafters. It's incredible to see this small cat like creature up close and a definite highlight of a stay here.
