Onsea House is a cozy and warm boutique hotel situated east of Arusha with panoramic views across the Maasai steppe and Mount Meru. It is the perfect place to relax before or after a safari or after a Kilimanjaro climb. Onsea House is run by Dirk and Axel Janssens, 2 cousins from Belgium who make it their mission to ensure you are treated to top-notch accommodation and first-class food.
Onsea House offers 4 standard rooms which all open onto a shared terrace. All rooms are ensuite with bathtubs and overhead showers. A self-contained guest cottage which is adjacent can accommodate 6 guests and so is perfect for families travelling together. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated in an African-colonial style with four poster beds, writing desks, mosquito nets and butler-style beside tables. You can relax in the manicured tropical gardens or the outdoor Jacuzzi and floodlit swimming pool with lawn bar. You will be treated to a fusion of European and African delights on the dining terrace whilst enjoying the views overlooking the valley.
30 minutes' drive from Kilimanjaro airport, 25 minutes' drive from Arusha airport and only 10 minutes to Arusha town centre.
Visits together with the chef to the colourful Arusha market, day trips to Arusha National Park, bird watching day trips, spa treatments, walks and bike rides.

Review of Onsea House Country Inn and Guest Cottage
What a special little inn this is! The owner and chef, Axel, greeted us upon our arrival. We had one room in the main inn and then the two rooms in the guest cottage. The pool was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge after a long 30 hour journey from New York. The property is gorgeous with a nice view from the main deck. The Inn follows COVID…
Onsea was a nice and comfortable lodge. The food here was amazing and the hospitality was quite nice too
