The Z Hotel offers alfresco dining in the main restaurant 'Saruche', along with Asian-fusion tapas and sharing platters in 'Cinnamon', the cocktail bar, where mouth-watering cocktails are also served.

There are 40 rooms in six categories: garden view, sea view, family interconnecting, roof-top suite, ocean front cottages and the Z Suite. Each room has floor to ceiling glass doors leading onto a balcony which looks out across the crystal blue ocean with many rooms featuring Plasma TVs, DVD Players, Wii and Philippe Starck furniture.

The Z Hotel is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes' drive from Stone Town or Zanzibar Airport.

The landscape was gorgeous and the staff was very friendly. There was mold growing on the glass covering the painting that was hanging in our room. There was quite a bit of confusion regarding the meals and we were charged for dinner twice which had to be deleted from our hotel bill prior to checkout. Z Hotel has a great location. Very comfortable stay. Loved that it was right on the beach. My only criticism was with the food. As we were on half board basis we had dinners at the hotel. The food that was presented was nothing like want was on the menu and no explanation given as to why the food was not what we ordered. Otherwise a great hotel to relax and chill…
