Lemala Osonjoi Lodge

Lemala Osonjoi set to open in July 2025, is conveniently located on the quieter eastern side of the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, close to the Lemala Gate. Osonjoi, named after the trees that dominate the area, reflects the symbolic and medicinal significance these trees hold for the Maasai. The lodge offers a unique opportunity to explore the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, known for its high concentration of wildlife, that roams the crater floor, from majestic lion and elephant to endangered black rhino.

The lodge features 20 luxurious suites, including two-bedroom options ideal for families or groups. Each suite is designed with a focus on comfort and elegance, featuring oversized beds, picture windows framing forest views, and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, dressing areas, and flush toilets. On cooler evenings, wood stoves, warm duvets, and hot water bottles provide extra comfort. The main lodge includes an indoor heated swimming pool, a spa suite for indulgent treatments, and spacious dining and lounge areas. Early morning and late afternoon game drives take full advantage of the lodge’s prime location, while escorted walks along the crater rim offer a more intimate connection to the landscape. A standout experience is the catered lunches on the crater floor, ensuring a full-day safari in unparalleled comfort.
