Located in Kibale Forest, Chimp's Nest is a simple lodge that offers guests basic accommodation but in an incredibly beautiful environment. It is one of the few lodges to be located within Kibale Forest National Park, so you really do feel like you are immersed in the wilderness.
Guests can expect a choice of cottages, a family cottage or two tree houses. The cottage rooms are spacious but the accommodation is quite basic and there is a lengthy walk to the main lodge. However, this kind of seclusion might be welcomed by honeymooners, who would enjoy the privacy. The tree houses are very intimate, if not a little cramped and a very long walk from the main lodge, so, again, privacy is assured.
This is very much a back to nature experience for guests, with the Rwenzori Mountains and views of Kibale Forest providing a lovely backdrop and all manner of primate visiting the lodge on occasion, and rare forest elephant also making appearances. The lodge is well positioned, with the starting point for chimp tracking only 15 minutes away and is a birder's paradise with 350 species in the area.
7 hour drive from Murchison Falls, a 4 hour drive from the Mweya sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 6 hour drive from the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park and 5 - 6 hours' drive from Kampala.
Activities around the lodge focus on wildlife within the Kibale Forest National Park, the most famous of which would be chimpanzee tracking.

Review of Chimps Nest
Amazing place! Overlooking Kiblale Forrest, it had a quiet and peaceful atmosphere nestled deeply in the Forrest. The accomodation consisted of wooden hut with hot water provided by an external fire. It had a private verandah overlooking the Forrest where we think we almost saw a Forrest elephant. A great place to relax and unwind after a long road journey or trek.
